Men’s Health and It’s Importance

Studies have shown that men generally lead an unhealthier lifestyle as compared to women. On average, med tend to consume more alcohol and smoke more cigarettes. In addition, they tend not to follow-up on health symptoms or their routine physical check-ups. Compared to working-aged women, working-aged men are less likely to have a regular doctor and health insurance.
Many health conditions that men face can be prevented and/or treated if diagnosed on time. It is paramount for men to understand the risk factors and how they can improve their overall health for them to start taking better care of their health. The most common conditions affecting men – heart disease, prostate, testicular, and colon cancer, and osteoporosis later in life – have important nutritional implications.
